It is a biosynthetic precursor of T3 (triiodothyronine, triiodothyronine), T4 (Tet raiodothyronine, tetraiodothyronine, thyroxine). It is mainly stored in the thyroid follicular cavity in the form of colloid, and the content of normal human serum is very small (10-40ng / ml).
